The Speak Out Learning Festival is an exciting day of celebrating disability pride and culture. Since 2008, many people met and learned from experts in disability film, theatre, dance and leadership. It is our chance to show the world we are loud, proud of who we are!

Learn about the Right 2 Home!

The Disability Action Hall kicks off the Right 2 Home our city on Thursday, June 2nd at Arts Central. The purpose of the exhibit is to celebrate our right to home in a city that is truly inviting for all Calgarians to visit and enjoy.

The exhibit will be on dispaly at the Calgary Arts Development Office for the 1st Thursday at Arts Central (12-100, 7th Avenue SW) from 5 to 8 pm. Join us for some postermaking, exhibits, poetry and snacks!

And then on Friday, June 3rd, celebrate with your new sign at our gathering at Olympic Plaza from 12-2 pm. Olympic Plaza is located at 228, 8th Avenue SE. Try to take the LRT as parking is very limited. Spolumbo's will be providing some tasty treats and we will be joined by many people from around the province. And wear purple!

RADICAL LOVE TOUR 2010

Last year's love tour was a huge success. We awarded local businesses wioth disability friendly spaces and danced in the fountain for the Right 2 Love. To learn more about the Right to love, visit the Hall's website and view the film at www.actionhall.ca

RADICAL ACCESS TOUR 2009

Last year we did the Radical Access Tour. We asked peole to fill out score cards and rate how disability friendly our city is. To learn about the places we visited last year for the Radical Access Tour, see below!

Route 1: Glenbow, Convention Centre, Hyatt or Marriott, +15

Route 2: 1st St station, The Theatre Junction GRAND, Art Central, Palomino (during non-rush times such as lunch and dinner hours)

Route 3: EPCOR CENTRE, City Hall (old or new), Olympic Plaza, library

Route 4: 8th Ave shops -The Bay, Calgary Tower or Vertigo, +15s, Encana
